At Active Zone, we believe that fitness isn't just about what happens in the gym or studio, it's about what happens in your kitchen, on your plate and in your daily habits. Your body needs the right fuel to perform, recover and thrive.

Fueling your body doesn't require trendy and strict diets or fancy supplements. It just takes a few simple habits that make a big difference in how you feel and perform.

1. Balanced Meals
Every meal is a chance to support your fitness journey, and the key to it? Balance. Aim to include the three main macronutrients when you're having your next meal.

Carbohydrates, from rice, oats, and noodles, are your main energy source. Protein, from eggs, meats, and beans, for muscle repair. And healthy fats, such as avocado, olive oil, nuts, for long-lasting fuel and hormonal health.

2. Hydrate!
I'm sure you've heard it plenty of times before: that water is essential. Even mild dehydration can leave you feeling sluggish and groggy. It also affects muscle function and overall endurance.

A good rule is to aim for at least 2 litres of water per day, and more if you're sweating a lot during your workout sessions.

Add a pinch of salt to your water or pack an isotonic beverage like 100 Plus for after a tough workout to help you restore electrolytes!

3. Post-Workout Recovery
After you've crushed our Active Kickboxing class at Active Zone, your muscles are primed to recover. And what you eat right after your session can help you reduce soreness and improve gains.

Think of nutritious food like chicken, a protein shake, or even soya milk. Don't skip a meal after a session, your muscles need nutrients to refuel, repair and grow stronger.

In Conclusion:
Fitness is fueled by what you eat, not by extreme, trendy diets you see online. Whether you're training with us at Active Zone or simply looking to feel better and fueled day to day, remember: eating doesn't have to be complicated.

Support your recovery and support your fitness journey with food that works for you.
